“I think I’m having an ah ah moment but would like clarity.  I think I’ve been angry practically my whole life not seeing it as anger.  I saw it as sadness or sorrow, being unhappy because of many things that happened to and and how allowed some things to happen to me, or didn’t see it.
I would get sad and suddenly cry and felt sorry for myself a lot.  As I began to grow up I stopped crying and being outwardly sad but I was still sad and angry.  The people that I believe wronged me don’t move me anymore.  When I think of them or past situations, I don’t’ feel angry or sad now.  Does this mean I have forgiven?”  M.D.  – Long Beach, Ca

Hello M.D.,
I feel you have been given great insight by the “Teacher” as you have applied the lessons from the Course now for some time.  Not only have you been reading the text from the Course but in our talking you have heard Him speak through me to you concerning your life matters for some time now.      Apparently, the “miracle” is at work in your life in meaningful ways.  Your story is a testimony or evidence of the “shift in perception” that is occurring in regards  to the long standing sadness that morphed into deep sorrow in your past.  I remember these times in your life.

I rejoice in your healing… that now comes through your decision to accept forgiveness — which is “a shift in perception” – that was facilitated by the Holy Spirit in your mind.  You don’t have a question. That would be a distraction of the ego.  Rather, you have a statement.  “I am healed now from my past state of sadness and sorrow because I now choose peace instead of this.”

The questions and seeking closure from the past have ended.  Hold on to the freedom that comes from forgiveness in the now – and go forth boldly as you let Holy Spirit restore all that was covered by the darkness of sadness and sorrow.  As you continue to rejoice and share your testimony with others through daily actions — you are showing others by demonstration– that Christ is not dead but that He lives in you as the Healer and miracle worker. The miracle is – that you are no longer seeing “what is not there” and you are now seeing only “what is there.”

I am waiting to see the joy from others as you share this testimony with the Wednesday night group.
All praises to God  – in you and through you.  And So It Is.
